About

Robert and Carol Kilburg and Allen Bormann bought the business in 1968. Allen passed away January 12th 2006 and then we bought all the business. At first we were just a processing plant for farmers to bring in their livestock to further process. We are and official slaughter, processing plant. Bob would take a van and deliver product to Wapello, Iowa where he would go to a livestock auction, he also went to area livestock auctions around Preston and buy livestock. It progressed into buying semi trailer trucks.

The areas we cover are east to Chicago, Illinois, South to Burlington, Iowa, West to Des Moines, Iowa, North to Elkader, Monona area. We have 6 semi-trailers delivering our products. We have 15 full time employees and 9 part-time employees. Our son, Joe, manages the business and he has incorporated many different products we make at the establishment since we took over 46 years ago. We supply meat markets, grocery stores, restaurants, institutions, and caterers. We take pride in all our individual customer service.
